Marcus Wimmer studied measurement & control systems and computer science at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien.
In July 2003 he joined DECOMSYS GmbH, where he was engaged in development and maintainance of safety critical embedded software for FlexRay clusters and computer aided software quality assurance.
From September 2006 to August 2010 he was employed full-time at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien, where he participated in the DCP and Automotive Gateways projects as well in other industry-related projects. In September 2010 he joined the company Specific Group and continued his work at the Technikum Wien as a visiting lecturer until 2012.
