Stefan Stockinger was born in 1992 in Rohrbach (OÖ). He started an apprenticeship as an electrician in 2007, where his work focused on home automation and communication systems. After his apprenticeship, he worked as a technician and software developer in the field of smart homes (2011 - 2017). Alongside his work, he completed his A-levels on the HTL Paul-Hahn.

After attending the military service in 2013, he started his studies in the bachelor degree program "Electronic Engineering" at the UAS Technikum Wien, which he finished in June 2016. In September 2016 he continued his studies in the master degree program "Embedded Systems". From February 2017 to Februar 2018 he was working as a junior researcher within the ViTAL project.
