Markus Lechner was born in 1991 in Vienna. After graduation at the HTL in Vienna 10 (upper secondary school for technology), specializing in electronics and information technology, he started with the bachelor program Electronics Engineering at the University of Applied Science Technikum Wien in 2014 and the . He joined the Research Group Embedded Systems in June 2015 within the public funded project OpenLab. He finished the bachelor program Electronics Engineering in June 2016 and the master program Embedded Systems in June 2018. From July 2018 to December 2018 he was member of the Josef Ressel Center INES.
