Christoph Böhm was born in 1988 and started his professional career by graduating at the HTL Mödling (specialization in Mechatronics). In 2009, he began his studies at the UAS Wiener Neustadt after military service. He received his Bachelor's degree in Mechatronik/Mikrosystemtechnik in 2012 and his master's degree in Mechatronic Systems in 2015. Since 2019 he has been working on his dissertation about self-awareness for multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
In October 2024, he joined the Research Group Embedded Systems at UAS Technikum Wien as a Lecturer/Researcher, also taking the role as a member of the R&D team in the FFG project Samurai.
His research interests are safe UAVs enabled through robust physics-based state estimation and information-rich motion planning.
