Roman Pallierer is the project manager of the STEACS project. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Vienna University of Technology, where his research focused on distributed fault-tolerant real-time systems. During his employment as research and teaching assistant at the Institut für Technische Informatik at Vienna University of Technology, he was involved in three EU-projects (TTA, X-By-Wire, Pamela) regarding the evaluation and validation of X-by-wire systems in the automotive and aerospace domain. He was then project manager in the mobile communication sector at Motorola in Vienna. In 2002, he joined DECOMSYS GmbH, where he is project manager of the cluster tests of the FlexRay communication protocol and further system reliability projects in the automotive domain.
